Friday-Thursday Tidbits

July 10, 2015

It’s actually not Thursday, it’s a rainy Friday, sorry I didn’t post this yesterday.

  1. First off, thank you so so much for all the encouragement on my post yesterday, I felt much better reading your prayers and I’m praying for clarity in all.
  2. Heard of the new make-up trend “Strobing” I love how this hilarious video explains it.
  3. 25 Signs you’re now a Lagosian. How many did you check off?
  4. I entered this contest (its an amazing creative course in Italy!), cos I could do with a pick me up, maybe if I don’t win, you will?
  5. 25 women on the best advice they ever got.
  6. So I went to see the Entourage movie on Wednesday… and um, let’s just say I’m not their target audience.
  7. Some heart-wrenching non fiction. Everything is yours…
  8. What the heck is going on in Greece? Explained.
  9. I’m considering taking some risks, what’s the biggest risk you’ve ever taken? (of course only if you’re comfortable with sharing)

Love always,

Sabirah.

(Have a great weekend!)

Yes to Italy! I pray someone I know wins.
As for the Lagosian list, I don’t think I checked off enough to be truly Lagosian, but we are getting there. LOL! Not sure how I feel about that.
I don’t know that I can share my biggest risk just yet, but a close second has to be quitting my job and moving to Lagos with the embarrassing sum (you don’t wanna know mehn) that was my bank balance. I still don’t know how I convinced myself that I’ll be okay. But I’m really glad I did.

PS. I pray you get the clarity you need and for strength and grace for the next phase.

    1. I’m 60% Lagosian pparently. Meep.
    2. I can’t say that I have taken exceptional risks. The biggest thing for me will be walking away from paid employment. I want to but I’m scared at the same time.
    3. Have a wonderful weekend!

ah ah! I can relate to 7 out of 25. Definitely all that about flood, and fantasizing about leaving Lagos but knowing you can’t leave.

I don’t think I have ever taken any serious risks. I should look for one.

    Enjoy your weekend 🙂
