Happy Monday!

I love discovering new music, love it. I’m probably last on the train but I finally got Apple Music and discovered ‘Janine and The Mixtape’ there. I instantly fell in love with “Hold me” and it’s still my favourite, maybe because I’ve listened to it the most. I spent the next few days listening to all her stuff and wow, what a voice.

So who is she? Janine and The Mixtape (what a name huh?) is a singer song writer from New Zealand. I’d describe her sound as RnB with some pop influences, I’ll let the music do the talking… have a listen

“Baby don’t let me down

got a lot going on right now and I need you to hold me…” Love it!

And here’s a remix of Hold me, with a Nigerian-American rapper Tunji Ige, yaay naija 😉 it’s equally lovely.

And here she cover’s Usher’s you got it bad.

I really do like her sound, what do you think?

Love always,

Sabirah
